Meet Paige
Paige Edwards is a remarkable individual whose journey reveals a deep-rooted connection to her community. Born and raised in Glynn County, Paige embarked on a new chapter in her life when she moved to Atlanta at the age of 19. While there, she pursued her passion for knowledge and completed her degree in Business Management. However, a childhood dream to serve her community lingered within her heart. Determined to make a difference, Paige joined the Fulton County Police Department, where she faithfully served for an impressive 26 years.
Throughout her career, Paige embraced the opportunity for growth and development, receiving executive training and attending Command College at Columbus State University. Eventually, Paige retired from the police department, achieving the distinguished rank of Captain. Despite her demanding career, Paige remained connected to her roots, regularly returning to her hometown to visit family. Since her retirement in 2014, she has chosen to once again call Brunswick home, where she continues to embody her lifelong commitment to service and the well-being of her community.

Public Safety
To foster a stronger relationship between the community and the police department, it is crucial that public safety is prioritized in Brunswick. The police force should adopt a proactive approach to preventing criminal activity, making Brunswick a safe place to attract more jobs and revenue, and further revitalizing Downtown and the Hwy. 17 corridor.
Transparency of City Business
Transparency of city business is essential to ensure that the public is well-informed about the activities of the commission and various departments. Addressing concerns and fostering trust can be achieved by keeping the community educated about what is happening. If elected, my door will be open to everone. I will listen to your ideas, your concerns and hear your criticisms. That dialogue will be central to my decision-making process in representing voters as City Commisioner.
Accountability
Accountability is necessary, particularly concerning the spending of property taxes, Local Option Sales Tax (LOST), and Special Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) taxes. Oversight committees should be established to ensure effective engineering and planning, thereby eliminating wasteful and unsuccessful projects such as the continued flooding of homes and city streets, while simultaneously improving the lasting infrastructure.
Economic Development
Economic development plays a vital role in the betterment of Brunswick. By increasing commercial development, better-paying jobs can be brought to the city, easing the tax burden on homeowners. This, in turn, leads to an expanded tax base, benefiting the entire community.

Reduce private homeowners’ tax burden by bringing in commercial development
Encourage the continued revitalization of the Norwich Street Corridor, the Glynn Avenue Corridor (US 17) and other key development zones.
Promote public-private partnerships for maximum economic growth, cultural impact and expanded opportunity for all, citywide.
